POD INFOREGULATIONS

1. Please keep all correspondence and updates regarding this POD booking in the Freshdesk ticket you received when completing the CS Booking form. Please be advised changes made under 24hrs notice may not be supported.

2. If you need presentation file display that is not security sensitive, copy them to the J drive Whiteboard folder and access them from the lectern pc. Files can also now be accessed by signing into OneDrive web app or Office365 www.office.com
Alternatively use whatever electronic storage media the file is stored on. The PC has internet access. If they are on a USB pendrive please give the pendrive to supporting CS technician. If the Pendrive is Bitlocked you will need to unlock it for them. Please do not email the files directly to CS staff. File management / transfer is your responsibility. Testing files should be arranged prior to the session.

3. No food, drink or sweets are permitted in the POD lecture theatre please. Only bottled water is permitted. If food or drink is accidentally brought in, it must be left stored in the POD entrance lobby area only. Tables are provided.

4. Please ensure mobile phones are switched off and stored away unless they form part of your interactive lecture.

5. Please do not leave students unattended. Costly damage has occurred in the past.

6. There is Wheelchair access from the Main entrance/ Lobby and also to the front of stage via ramp leading from the POD rear door access. If you require rear door access you will need to contact the Estates/ Reception team to arrange escorting and entry. Please be aware of responsibilities to wheelchair users in the event of fire.

7. Please ensure all fire doors including the POD main door are not propped open. Only if you have a person managing the door access may they be propped open while attendees are entering or exiting the POD. Once the session has started please ensure they are all closed. The POD main door is secure and can only be opened by authorised personnel or from inside the Lobby.

8. Please leave the POD tidy so it is ready for the next session, collect up all your materials and paperwork. There are bins provided onstage, at the back and in the entrance Lobby.

9. Anything left is considered unwanted, combustible and will be binned.

FIRE REGULATIONS AND INSTRUCTION

10. In the event of a Fire Alarm, there will be a constant sounding alarm and a Red light flashing at the POD rear so you are alerted.

11. Please ensure your attendees know where their nearest Fire exit routes are located and what to do in the event of Fire. All Fire routes are marked above each doorway.

12. In the event of Fire inside the POD, there are 4 Red Fire Break Glass points and 1 Fire Refuge Area Red Phone. Please note there are 2 Fire Refuge Points nearby. Please break glass immediately to set the alarm off in event of Fire inside the POD.

13. There are 3 public fire extinguishers for immediate small fire control:
Only tackle a small fire if you are competent and have completed the Health & Safety Portal Fire Safety Training. If in doubt please exit safely immediately after activating one of the Red Fire Break Glass Points.
